Verification and what the badges mean

Professionals are verified before they can be matched to jobs. Depending on the service, KAAM checks: - Identity of the person running the business. - Business registration (Companies House for limited companies; sole traders provide trading evidence). - Insurance - public liability, with an expiry date that KAAM tracks. - Trade schemes where the work requires it (e.g. Part P registration for electrical work, Gas Safe for gas).

Each check is pending, verified, rejected or expired. A professional whose mandatory checks for a service are not current is not invited to jobs for that service. Customers see verification chips on every bid; they never see the underlying documents.

To submit or refresh evidence, open your organisation page and choose Verification. If a check has been pending for more than two working days, ask support to look into it.
